Bridesmaid Jewelry
Well, I found some bridesmaid jewelry online that I really liked, but it was $20 per set. I thought maybe I could make it myself for less.... and what do you know, I did!
The earrings cost me about $0.75 per pair, and the necklaces were around $3.00 each. I got all materials (on sale) at Jo Ann's!

Bridesmaid Jewelry Boxes
I decided to make some pretty boxes to give my girls their new jewelry in. I wandered around Michael's for some inspiration, and this is what I came up with!
Cost breakdown (per box):
Paper mache box: $2 8.5x11" felt: $0.20 12x12" scrapbook paper: $0.16 Total: $2.36!!! (The pearls were left over from another project, and I already had the Mod Podge) |
Instructions:
To make these, I simply cut panels from the scrapbook paper to fit the sides/top/bottom of the box and lid, and glued them on. I printed the letters from Word and cut them in ovals and glued them on. Then I covered the whole box and lid (except for the inside) with about 3 layers of matte Mod Podge. For the lining, I cut the felt into panels to fit the sides and bottom of the inside of the box and hot glued them in place. Then, I simply hot glued a strand of plastic pearl beads around the letters! |
Floral Chiffon Shoe Clips
So I found cute little silver wedges on clearance on Aldo's website that I decided to get my bridesmaids. Since they are wearing blue dresses with brown sashes, I thought it would be cute to add a brown accent to the shoes. So I followed this tutorial and made little floral clips out of brown chiffon! I think they will look great with the dresses.
Name Hangers
I saw these on Etsy for around $15 a piece. Well, I ended up making 5 of them for just under $15!
